"Starving on Minimum wage"Minimum wage in Texas is currently $6.55 it will only increase to $7.25 in the year 2009 but it has not gone into effect as of yet. Working for minimum wage is a good way to starve to death. Most families cannot reasonably survive on minimum wage, if you have a large family this is impossible. $7.55 for 40 hours per week is only $302.00 per week a monthly total of $1208.00 per month. Figure that the average household pays $300.00 or more per month rent on a home or on a mortgage. Then a vehicle payment is from $100.00 to $200.00 dollars per month and insurance is about another $40.00 to $60.00 per month or more depending on the type of coverage. Fuel in the vehicle can cost up to $100.00 or more per month depending upon what type of vehicle it is. Then there are the utilities electric, water, gas, waste disposal, this is another cost of anywhere from $200.00 and up per month depending upon where you live and how much of each utility your family consumes per month. Most families also have telephones, and television or dish service so there is another monthly bills. Of $100.00 per month or more all these things just to survive are costly. When you total these figures all up you come up with approximately $1100.00 or more however there is one thing that was not allowed for in this monthly figure FOOD. You may have $100.00 dollars left over and you may not have so what will you buy food with this is a dilemma. No one can feed his or her family on $100.00 or less for a month. Therefore what will you do to feed your family three balanced meals per day. Well first, of all stop even trying to instead invest some of the income you do have into a computer and a internet service and then find a part time job or source on making a living for your family on there. Find affiliate-marketing sites and become an affiliate marketer earning a part of a sale percentage of many products available on line. Almost every site on the internet offers some sort of an affiliate program. Major stores and businesses pay you to advertise their products or stores on your websites. These affiliate percentages add up over time and people can earn good money by simply adding a link to the businesses. Many more people are turning to this form of extra income or even eventually replacing their current incomes all together.
